The Ministry of Defense, in an update on the fire situation in the country, says that 19 fires are still active, out of 28 that were reported today.
The ministry also added that the situation is problematic in the village of Kostar i Finiq, where, in addition to the increased firefighting forces, the helicopter has also been made available.
The situation is also problematic in the village of Tërbovë in Bulqiza, as the fire that engulfed a meadow surface is spreading rapidly towards the forests. About 80 forces of the municipality and the Armed Forces are working in the village of Selixë i Mati, as there are currently three fire stations activated.

During today's day, according to the National Operational Center for Civil Emergencies in #AKMC, 28 fires have been identified throughout the country. After an uninterrupted work of the operational forces in the field, it became possible to completely isolate and extinguish 9 outbreaks, while 19 still remain active.
The situation is problematic in the Kostar village of the Finiq municipality, where the operational forces with the engagement of the #Cougar helicopter are working to extinguish the fires, to prevent the passage to the Vllahat village of the Delvinë municipality. Helping to put out the fire are numerous forces from the local government structures of the municipalities of Saranda, Himare, Gjirokastër, Dropull and Konispol, supported by the FA operatives.
The situation is under control in the village of Mërtiraj of Selenicë municipality. While in the village of Bashaj, in this same municipality, the fire that broke out the day before in the area of bushes has been reactivated. The strong wind that is blowing in the direction of Mesaplik village makes the intervention difficult.
In the National Park of Prespa, Mount Dry, the fire continues to be active, as the terrain makes it difficult to fully extinguish it. The local forces of the Pustec municipality, assisted by 27 members of the FA, are working to keep it under control.
In the forest areas of the village of Rajë and Geghysen of the Tropoje municipality, there is an active fire in the direction of the Kolçi Pass, which is being monitored by forest workers of the Tropoje municipality.
In the village of Kus, the hearth of the fire has been isolated in Malin Lugë, in the Bërzhitë administrative unit. There is still burning in the humus, but it does not pose a risk of spreading to a wider area.
In Tërnovë village of Bulqizë municipality, the fire is active in the meadow area and is spreading towards a forest area. The situation is problematic. Forces on the ground are working to limit the spread of the flames.
In the village of Selixë in the municipality of Mati, the fire takes place in three centers and about 80 forces of the municipality and the Armed Forces are working. High temperatures and wind have increased the intensity of the outbreaks. Work is also underway on a hearth in the village of Maqellare in the municipality of Dibra.
In the place called "Bjeshket e Xhurajve", in the municipality of Shkodra, there was a fire in a forest area on steep and difficult terrain. The fire is being monitored by the local structures of this municipality and does not pose a danger to homes.
In the village of Halil in the municipality of Kruja, a fire has been reactivated. The difficult terrain as well as the presence of the wind make it difficult for the forces to intervene.
The fire in the village of Skuraj in the municipality of Kurbin is developing with low intensity.
Near the train station in Milot, in the municipality of Kurbin, the fire on an area with bushes and brambles has been brought under control by the firefighting forces of the Kurbin and Lezhë municipalities, making it possible to remove the danger from residential buildings.
Above the village of Sotire in the municipality of Dropulli, the fire has spread to the crown of the pines. The FA's Cougar helicopter was engaged in this operation, apart from the firefighters of the Dropull municipality, volunteer forces and 30 FA forces.
Fires have been reported in Luzat village of Tepelën municipality, in Karat village of Këlcyre municipality as well as between Bogovë and Dobrushë villages of Skrapar municipality, in which firefighters are working to extinguish them.
665 operational forces and 43 vehicles, 99 military troops, 14 vehicles and the Air Force helicopter were engaged in firefighting operations.
