The appeal of GJKKO has decided to leave in force the security measure of arrest in prison for Evis Berberi, the former head of ARRSH and the two businessmen, Valter Begaj and Ervis Lami.
The Special Appeal dismissed today the appeals made by the former head of ARRSH Evis Berberi, Valter Begajt and Ervis Lamit, leaving in effect the decision of GJKKO.
Evis Berberi and his two associates, businessmen Ervis Lami and Valter Begaj, accused of corruption and money laundering, will continue to be investigated under the security measure of 'prison arrest'.
Berberi, Begaj and Lami were arrested on March 16 of this year. All three were placed in handcuffs by order of the Posaccme Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office for "violation of equality in tenders", "post corruption", "active corruption" and "money laundering".

The two businessmen Lami and Begaj are suspected to have made a fictitious sale of the company of the former head of ARRSH and other fictitious actions, making it possible to hide the crime of corruption, in cooperation with Berberi.
SPAK's investigation shows that the benefit was about 2.2 million euros that were invested by the company "DAAM" shpk, in real estate. In parallel with this investigation, SPAK has also launched an investigation into the assets of the three persons, as they are accused of money laundering.
