Analyst Andi Bushati debated with Preç Zogaj regarding the progress of the justice reform, the impartiality of SPAK and its separation from politics.
In the show "The Unexposed", Bushati stated that SPAK is led and directed by Prime Minister Edi Rama. This opinion was opposed by Zogaj, who said that the reform was built by the Americans and that one cannot speak with hints.
Excerpts from the studio debate:
Ylli Rakipi: Mr. Zogaj, you have always believed in justice reform, saying that the Americans did it. But Rama comes out and tells us that he himself and the Socialist Party did it. How do we understand this?
Preç Zoga j: I do not refer to guesswork. I don't read Edi Rama's mind. Bushati speaks as if he heard it recorded, that Rama gives orders, etc.
Andi Bushati : It is definitely so.
Preç Zogaj : No, it's not like that. Even Edi Rama's ground is shaking under his feet.
Andi Bushati : You just did what you criticized me for, you told him the ground is shaking under his feet.
Preç Zogaj : I speak with facts.
Ylli Rakipi : Rama says I did the reform.
Preç Zogaj : Rama voted for him, but everyone voted for him. Everyone can advertise... The reform in justice has taken this form, with the contribution of many actors and factors. The opposition played a role. He went twice to the Venice Commission and was scanned.
Eugen Beci : The Commission has warned of political capture.
Preç Zogaj : Venice has said that it is a suis generis law. But the corruption in Albania is such that it makes this passable.
Eugen Beci : Do we have punishment or justice?
Andi Bushati : We have come to poplar number two!
Eugen Beci : I do not agree with punishment, but with justice.
Preç Zogaj : This justice that exists today, especially with Duman's arrival at the head of SPAK, but also with the encouragement of the prosecutors, who did not come from Mars, but came from the system, but are being motivated...
Andi Bushati: My thesis is that neither America nor the EU can do independent justice in a non-democratic regime. Out of concern that they failed in Albania, when Zaev asked them in Macedonia for the same, they said no because what happened in Albania breeds chaos. In the absence of a democratic system, it is an illusion and a fraud to do independent justice. Here they say, yes, some prosecutors have been caught, but it is Dumani. While waiting for hours, Yuri Kim came and admitted that a part of SPAK prosecutors had captured Veliaj, Balla and Balluku. That's why Kim said I don't love these two but I love Duman. So the Americans themselves admitted that 2/3 of SPAK has been captured by Rilindja, which is also mowing down these others along the way.
