Spiro Maliqi is appointed General Director of Civil Status. The decision was signed by the Minister of the Interior, Ervin Hoxha.
Maliqi comes to this post after a career in public administration.
He has worked in the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Ministry of Justice, etc. He returned to Elbasan as head of the Cabinet for the Municipality of Elbasan.
Then he was appointed prefect of Elbasan district. His career continued as an advisor to the Parliamentary Group of the Socialist Party. In February of this year, Prime Minister Edi Rama named him the new head of the Agency for Special Citizenship Programs.
