For this reason, the General Maritime Directorate in Vlora calls on all drivers of small vessels and traversing vessels, starting from tomorrow September 9 until the morning of Tuesday September 10, operating in and outside the bay of Vlora, to take measures in order to prevent any unexpected situation due to atmospheric conditions.
International shipping vessels will continue to operate normally according to their respective destinations.
' Notice of worsening hydrometeorological conditions during the dates 09-10.09.2024!
Based on the forecast for the deteriorating hydrometeorological situation inside and outside the bay of Vlora, during the dates 09-10.09.2024 starting from 10:00 on 09.09.2024 in the South-South-East direction, in the force up to 5-6bft at a speed wind up to 10-15 m/s and wave height from 1.00 to 1.50 meters, in order to prevent any unexpected situation due to atmospheric conditions, we request the cooperation of all entities that exercise activity in the maritime field, to take all measures necessary for securing the means in the port and increasing the readiness of the crew in the vessels.
International shipping vessels will continue to operate normally according to their respective destinations.
The improvement of the worsened hydrometeorological situation for small vessels and fishing will be after 08:00 on 10.09.2024 - the Maritime Directorate announces.
