Lawyer Arbër Hoxha, who defends some of those arrested in the latest SPAK action, said that the transcripts coming from Belgium and France cannot be taken as interceptions or as tools that lead to the collection of evidence.
" They are in the phase of preliminary investigations. Very wrong, to take those conversations out of context and discuss them. In the first place, it is known how they came from the French authorities, it was done through mail order. This data may be tampered with. I don't know if it was interfered with, but the procedural law clearly talks about evidence. Taking these transcripts of Sky ECC and Encro Chat, as interceptions, cannot be taken as interceptions, nor as a means of obtaining evidence" , he said in "Ora e Fundi".
Asked if there will be people who repent in this operation with 50 arrest warrants issued, the lawyer said: " I have very little personal expectation that there may be people who repent, but it remains to be seen if there will be people who repent." The evidence sent to the court is not enough," he said.
