Protesters have blocked almost all of Tirana's main intersections and axes, as the protest against Prime Minister Edi Rama's government has entered its tenth day.
The march has spread to some of the most frequented areas of the capital, including the center of Tirana, Durrës Street, the New Bazaar area, the former Train Station area, Elbasan Street, Zogu e Zi, Blloku and the Piramide area, bringing traffic to a standstill in a large part of the city.
With national flags and banners in their hands, citizens have marched for hours in the streets of the capital, turning the protest into one of the most massive mobilizations organized so far.
During the rally, chants such as "Rama resigns", "Rama in prison, Berisha in prison" and "Edi Rama is finished" were continuously heard, while protesters demanded the removal of the prime minister and holding the political class as a whole accountable.
Participants state that the protest is no longer linked to a single cause, but represents dissatisfaction with corruption, misgovernance, and the way public assets are administered.
The protest was also accompanied by satirical banners, ironic messages and calls for continued civic mobilization, while organizers have warned that the rallies will continue in the coming days.
The protesters have warned that the mobilization will continue in the coming days, with rallies starting every day at 6:00 PM and lasting until around 11:30 PM. According to them, the protest will continue without interruption until the demands raised against the government and the political class are met.
