Former member of parliament, Mark Frroku, arrested after the conflict over the properties in Cape Rodoni in Durrës, appeared before the court today, where he will be introduced to the security measure.

Eight people were arrested by the Durrës police and another was declared wanted for the violent clash over the property at Cape Rodoni, which results in an ownership conflict not resolved by the justice bodies. There, on Sunday, October 29, residents of the area objected to the works for the fencing of a piece of land claimed at the same time by the Franciscan Church and by Bajram Kaçuli. According to the police, the bone of contention is this land area, about 5 dynym and 417 meters, which has access to the sea.
Former deputy Mark Frroku and citizens Antonio Lazari, Pal Doda and Martin Lazeri were arrested for "Intimidation", "Criminal concealment", "Actions that prevent the discovery of the truth" and "Disturbance of public order and peace". They were escorted to the place of the conflict, but then the measure of arrest was taken against them. In the police, the former deputy Mark Frroku said that he had no knowledge of the conflict, while the investigation group administered film footage where the actions of violence between the parties were documented. Regarding his cousin and driver Besnik Toma, who was wanted, the former MP said that he had no knowledge of being shot. He is the administrator of the company "AM-L Group", which was contracted to carry out the works of the surrounding wall by members of the church.

The property conflict at Cape Rodoni started a year ago, when the Franciscan Church, through private companies, started works to fence the land it claims with a certificate of ownership. The works were opposed by the resident of the area, Bajram Kaçuli, who claims that he also has a certificate of ownership for the same area, accusing the other party of forgery. The issue of property documentation is in SPAK, even the prosecution has seized the files for verification, while the Church has continued to erect the fence. The police said that regarding the claims of the parties regarding the ownership certificate, the materials were referred several times to the Prosecutor's Office, after the conflicts that have occurred from time to time between the parties.
