Tirana Police have escorted lawyer Altin Goxhaj to the police station after a clash with law enforcement officers, which occurred due to a parking lot on "Kavajës" street.
According to the official announcement, the incident occurred on the evening of April 16, 2026, at around 8:00 PM, when the patrol of Police Station No. 2 was taking action against vehicles parked in the bicycle lane.
During the police intervention, a taxi was stopped behind the police car, while the officers asked the driver to continue driving. At this moment, according to the police, lawyer Altin Goxhaj got out of the vehicle, disobeyed the orders given and began to insult the police officers.
"Under these conditions, the Police officers escorted citizen AG to the premises of Police Station No. 2, who continued to oppose the Police officers during the escort," the announcement states.
At the conclusion of the procedural actions, Goxhaj was criminally prosecuted for the offense of "Disobedience to the order of a public order police officer."
The police emphasize that they are committed to enforcing the law and respecting the rights of citizens, while the case remains under investigation for further action.
