After the Parliament, hackers attack the Albanian Post - "Homeland Justice" claims responsibility for the attack
A few days after the attack on the Albanian Parliament website, the hacker group "Homeland Justice" claims to have also hit the Albanian Post Office, deepening concerns about cybersecurity in the country.
According to a message published on Telegram, the group claims to have taken control of the institution's website and data. Currently, the official website of the Albanian Post is out of service, while a number of services for citizens are at risk. Important payments are made through the Albanian Post, such as car fines and utility bills. The hackers also claim to have taken all the data.
In their message, the hackers state: “The Albanian Post was attacked by the Patriots of Homeland Justice due to its continued collaboration with the mujahideen and facilitation of their activities.”
This is another serious incident that seriously questions the effectiveness of investments in cybersecurity. Despite the millions of euros declared by the government to protect digital infrastructure, state institutions continue to be exposed to repeated attacks.
Iranian hackers attacked the Albanian Post - Minister Demo: Service is continuing normally
Minister of State for Local Government, Ervin Demo, after the end of the government meeting, was asked by journalists about the cyber attack that occurred yesterday against the Albanian Post by Iranian hackers.
"At the moment we are speaking, a detailed analysis is being conducted by the Albanian National Agency for Security and Defense and the Albanian Post's own experts. Postal services are continuing normally. There is no information that the operational part of the Post is being disrupted, but we must wait for the completion of the analysis," Demo said.
According to the minister, Albania is one of the countries with the greatest advancement in cybersecurity.
"I want to underline that the National Cyber Warfare Authority has the capacities that increase the guarantee for the integrity of public data in Albanian institutions. It is understood that not all institutions are included under the umbrella of this institution, but Albania is one of the countries with the greatest advancement in cybersecurity," the minister added.
Hide the sentence in Greece - SPAK requests the dismissal of the case against judge Irena Gjoka
The Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) has officially requested from the Special Court the termination of the criminal proceedings against Judge Irena Gjoka, on charges of forgery of seals, stamps or forms.
The criminal proceedings were registered in 2025, following a complaint filed by Adriana Kalaja, in her capacity as the chairwoman of the Appeal and Statute Evaluation Committee of the Democratic Party. The complaint included allegations of falsification of the Decriminalization Form, as she had not indicated the sentence received by the Greek justice system.
SPAK has administered a series of evidence and documents from Albanian institutions and the justice authorities in Greece. From these verifications it results that there is a 2005 decision against Irena Gjoka from a court in Ioannina, where she was found guilty of using irregular documents and violating the rules of entry into Greek territory.
However, according to SPAK, this trial was conducted in her absence and there is no evidence that she was effectively notified of the trial or decision.
Under the shadow of Albana Koçi - Arbër Misja, the deputy prime minister's husband appears in anti-crime files
"Pamphlet" has received some information about the involvement in illegal activities of the husband of the former Director General of Public Administration, former Minister of Health, former Minister of Interior and, for the past 3 weeks, Deputy Prime Minister.
During his 20 years in the directorship positions in 3 sectors of the General Directorate of Customs, the name of her husband, Arbër Misja, has been totally in the shadows, even after February 2022, when he was appointed a board member at the Securities Printing House.
But according to the information received and the preliminary verifications that we have conducted and are investigating, it turns out that he has been filed in the files of Albanian anti-crime agencies and partner agencies, which track criminal activities on their own behalf and exchange information.
In addition to keeping the name of Deputy Prime Minister Albana Koçiu's husband in the shadows, his involvement in dirty work has also been kept secret, even though it has emerged in investigative files of criminal figures and groups targeted in Albania and under investigation by international partner agencies.
