The last parliamentary session will be held on July 23rd, and a massive protest

During the 46th protest, organizers and protesters called on citizens to join the protest on July 23rd that will take place in front of the Albanian Parliament, on the day when the last plenary session will be held.

With chants of "Criminal Parliament", "Illiterate Parliament", "Revolution!" and "We want a new Albania!", the protesters called for the greatest possible mobilization, declaring that they would also protest in front of Parliament.

Meanwhile, for Thursday's plenary session, the State Police has taken the same security measures as in previous protests, placing a metal fence around the Parliament building.

We recall the clashes that occurred during the last protest in front of Parliament, two weeks ago, when some protesters physically confronted police forces. During that protest, participants threw eggs at officers and attempted to break through the metal fence, while the police responded with tear gas and water cannons.

Following the incidents, several protesters were escorted by police and held for about 72 hours in the "Mine Peza" detention facility and were then released by the Criminal Court.

Meanwhile, today's protest march continued along the predetermined route, passing through the 9-Katësheve, 15-Katëshi and Shtëpia e Gjëtheve areas, and then returning again in front of the Prime Minister's Office building, where the day's protest ended.
