The Ministry of Defense received today the two "Black Hawk" helicopters purchased from the USA. They arrived in our country a few days ago, and today they were handed in and then presented by the army representatives.
Minister Niko Peleshi and the US envoy, David Wisner, were present. The embassy itself has reacted on this organization.

The helicopters will enable the military to conduct medical evacuations, search and rescue missions, as well as fight forest fires and provide support to NATO operations. The United States is proud of the strong defense partnership with Albania and welcomes the addition of new Black Hawk helicopters to the Albanian Armed Forces! " the embassy said.
