Cases of influenza and other respiratory infections continue to rise across the country. According to ISHP, about 14,000 cases are registered per week.
"We have a slight increase in flu and Covid infections. The positivity of flu cases has reached somewhere between 10-12%", said the deputy director of ISHP, Dritan Ulqinaku.
Between Covid and the flu, the latter is dominating. Currently, according to PIH, this situation is not alarming. The peak of seasonal viruses is expected to be reached in the first week of February.
"We are at normal levels, I can call it the season of circulation of viruses" , said the doctor for "Tv Klan".
However, care should be taken, as the flu virus is easily transmitted. Experts advise citizens that if their body temperature does not decrease for three days, they should go to the doctor immediately.
"The flu affects all age groups without exception, the situation can become dramatic, because we consider the flu a serious disease. Wearing a mask is recommended for everyone, not just the sick. It is extremely recommended when we are on the bus, in the cinema, in the hospital. If a person is affected, it is recommended to wear a mask to avoid infecting others" , concluded Ulqinaku.
According to experts, the flu has a more rapid development than Covid-19, the signs of which have been softening.
