The African heat wave that brought temperatures up to 43 degrees C in Albania, is now on its way out. Temperatures have started to drop and are not expected to exceed 40 degrees.
"Regarding Sunday, we have another decrease, making the maximum values no more than 39 degrees C. The coastline will have maximum values from 36-38 degrees C", said meteorologist Hakil Osmani.
Some areas of the country, mainly in the eastern half of the territory and in the north, this Saturday and Sunday will be affected by rain showers, which are also predicted for the next week.
"There will also be days where during the afternoons we will have rain showers, more focused on the eastern stretch. Even Tirana, Elbasan and Berati remain at risk from short-term rainstorms", he said on "TV Klan".
Temperatures will drop slightly and gradually throughout the next week.
"At least until Thursday we will have maximum values around 37, in the area of Berat even 38. The rest will have temperatures below 36 degrees C", added Osmani.
However, July will end as a hot month influenced by an intense heat wave with high temperatures.
