The elections for the new Mayor are taking place in Himara, while Petro Gjikuria as the candidate of the opposition and Vangjel Tavo from the Socialist Party are in the running. The election process started at 7:00 a.m. and according to the law ends at 7:00 p.m./ But when are the results of the Himara Municipality elections expected?
The State Commissioner for Elections, Ilirjan Celibashi, said that he hopes that the counting process will be completed in the early hours of August 5, but everything will depend on how the process will go.
However, Celibashi emphasized the observance of standards, while recalling that based on the Electoral Code, the counting process must have been completed by 22:00 on August 5 at the latest.
The State Commissioner for Elections considered the counting process difficult, while 4 vote counting groups have been set up. Celibashi, referring to the voting process, said that so far voter identification devices have not created any problems.
