The arrested former mayor of Himara, Fredi Beleri, has reacted from prison regarding the partial elections that are being held today in this municipality.
He has expressed that his heart is in Himara today, where "members of the Greek ethnic minority are fighting the final battle for Democracy and their rights".
Among other things, Beleri has appealed for participation in the vote, as he adds that history is written by those who participate.

From the cell of the Albanian prison where I am staying for 425 days, my thoughts all day will be with my brothers and all those who understand that the rule of law and democracy are non-negotiable.
