Rama: The program to prepare businesses for the EU market will start in the fall
Edi Rama

A national program to prepare Albanian businesses for the European market will begin implementation in the fall. The initiative aims to help businesses cope with the demands brought by the integration process into the European Union, through the assistance of experts and dedicated programs.

During the program's presentation, Prime Minister Edi Rama said that businesses face a transformation process related to European integration and that support will be provided in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

"In order to be close to businesses in the face of the future that is coming rapidly and unstoppably, which is EU integration, we are committed to this national program that we will support with the expertise of the UNDP that will engage well-informed and well-prepared experts to assist Albanian entrepreneurship. We need to increase support for entrepreneurship because this is the system of entrepreneurship, economic and social development, where without the entrepreneur there are only illusions and abysses behind them. We want small and medium-sized enterprises to have the chance today that if they have the capacity of sufficient courage, a clear idea for tomorrow and the necessary will, to have our support. It will materialize with the opening in the coming days of the "Double Your Business" program, in support of those who want to climb higher", said Rama.

According to the Prime Minister, the program will be accessible to different categories of businesses, with the aim of offering enterprises more tools to adapt to the changes that accompany the process of economic transformation.

As part of this initiative, the Ministry of Economy will also create a dedicated website, through which businesses will be able to learn about the program and the opportunities it offers.

"The Ministry of Economy will prepare a dedicated website for this entire program and to keep all businesses informed," Rama said.

The Minister of Economy and Innovation, Delina Ibrahimaj, said that a fund of 250 million euros will be made available so that businesses can obtain loans.
