The financial power of Tifron Murataj has produced wonders in the justice system of Durres. Rexhep Bekteshi has decided to completely clear all charges against the company's president Trifon Murataj, the administrator Petrit Demishaj and the legal entity itself.

Rexhep Bekteshi, 69, who has postponed his retirement through maneuvers in the Supreme Court, seems to have dealt the final blow to his career as a judge, where retirement will probably seem like a tip to him. Rexhep Bekteshi has decided to completely clear all charges against the company's president Trifon Murataj, the administrator Petrit Demishaj and the legal entity itself. The decision, which was announced on June 23, 2026 by Judge Rexhep Bekteshi, has become final and can no longer be appealed.
In October 2022, authorities discovered for the second time in this company's containers, this time 33.5 kilograms of cocaine hidden in a container among banana shipments that arrived at the Port of Durrës.
However, the prosecution and the court process say that “Bana King” was not involved in smuggling. On the contrary, according to the justice, the company was a victim of international criminal networks that deliberately use legitimate trade routes to move cocaine from Latin America to Europe.

In 2019, the Judicial Appointments Council (KED) banned the candidacy of Durrës judge Rexhep Bekteshi for a vacant position on the Constitutional Court, after it emerged that he had participated in a political process in 1990.

Gjyqtari Bekteshi ka kundërshtuar gjetjen e Autoritetit të Dosjeve. Në sqarimet që i ka dhënë Këshillit të Emërimeve në Drejtësi, ai mohon të ketë marrë pjesë në procese politike në periudhën e komunizimit.
“Në periudhën 1980-1991 kam qenë hetues në Hetuesinë e Rrethit Durrës. Kam hetuar çështje për vepra penale në sektorin e Kundër Jetës dhe Shëndetit të Personit e Vjedhjes së Pasurisë. Nuk kam qenë hetues për vepra penale kundër shtetit dhe nuk kam marrë pjesë në procese të posaçme”, thotë gjyqtarit Bekteshi në shkresën drejtuar Këshillit të Emërimeve në Drejtësi.
Sa për faktin e evidentuar nga Autoriteti i Dosjeve, gjyqtari Bekteshi shprehet: “Nuk e mbaj mend konkretisht këtë rast, por mendoj se ky rast ka qenë çështje për vjedhje, e ndërthurur me Agjitacion e Propagandë”.

I skeduar edhe nga DEA amerikane si një El Chapo shqiptar, Trifon Murataj, i shpallur në kërkim nga drejtësia shqiptare në 4 nëntor 2022, për trafik sistematik kokaine nga vendet e Amerikës Latine, përmes importit të bananeve. Murataj u fsheh në Tiranë. Më pas, sipas disa raportimeve mediatike, Murataj i zgjidhi punët, duke hequr masën e sigurisë përmes Gjykatës së Durrësit.
Trifon Murataj pretendonte se ndodhet në SHBA, por në fakt bosi i Bana King lëvizte nëpër Tiranë me një kapele në kokë, ku dyshohet se vijon trafikun e kokainës.
Kur zyrtarisht ishte në kërkim, Trifon Murataj, përmes një numri amerikan që përdor nga Tirana, nisi t’u shkruante dhe t’u telefononte drejtuesve të lartë të policisë në Tiranë, duke i akuzuar ata se po i dëmtojnë biznesin e bananave me vonesat në port për shkak të kontrolleve për kokainë.
Disa drejtues policie nuk u kanë besuar syve dhe veshëve. Është e pazakontë që një i kërkuar për trafik kokaine t’i kërkojë llogari policisë se po i pengojnë linjën e trafikut.
Teksa një drejtues i lartë në Tiranë i kishte kërkuar Trifonit të paraqitej vetë në polici për pretendimet që kishte, trafikanti e kërcënoi duke i thënë se do të kishte pasoja. Nuk dihet nëse bosi i kokainës i ka shkruar edhe ish ministrit të Brendshëm për shqetësimin e tij lidhur me kontrollet në kontenierët e kokainës.
Murataj rikthehet në krye të Bana King

After the latest cocaine trafficking episode, Albanian law enforcement agencies have attempted to question Demishaj, who had fled the country, apparently out of fear of arrest.
He answered the phone, claiming to be in the US. Petrit Demishajt claimed that he had been employed since 2010 at Trifon Murataj's Zico company, as head of logistics.
Murataj in the shadows and Dermishaj on stage continued to run the company, in collaboration with Desantila Murataj, Anastas Kriqi, Mikel Selami, Ylvi Hana, etc. But, in July 2023, Murataj returned as administrator.
US DEA letter: Trifon Murataj of bananas and Ben Qimja of cocaine trafficking from Ecuador
Hackers who attacked Albanian security systems published the official emails of the former Director General of the State Police, Gledis Nano.
Among these published e-mails is also correspondence with the DEA in Athens, where the State Police was notified of an Albanian company trafficking cocaine from Ecuador.
It's about Trifon Murataj, the cocaine boss disguised as Bana King who advertises Ardit Gjebrea and Ben Qimja.
State Police leaders have released the names of the cocaine orderers, as well as the owner of the Albanian company, headquartered in Durrës.
According to the hackers' publication, the email was forwarded to Gledis Nanos by Tonin Vocaj on December 31, 2021, as well as emails from the DEA agent in Greece about this trafficking company.
Trifon Murataj brought cocaine camouflaged with bananas, Ben Qimja guarded it. The scandal consists in the fact that the police did not arrest them.
