A repeated report of the Ministry of Finance, presented at the end of December 2022 and 2023 to the Prime Minister Edi Rama, asks the latter, whether or not the procedures for the return of sums stolen from the state should be initiated against the Turkish company "Kurum". , for criminal proceedings and blocking of activity for fraud and refusal to deposit balances.
Regarding the balance sheets, the "Kurum" company did not submit them to taxes or to the National Business Center for 2022, but did not perform any tax actions during 2023 either, while the chief tax collector of Ceno Klosi does not implement the legal obligation.
In the same way, the company "Kurum", since 2013, has not submitted the balance sheets even for the 4 HPPs "Bistrica 1", "Bistrica 2", "Ulez" and "Shkopet", which in 2012 were sold "for 5 aspra" by Sali Berisha and Ilir Meta when they were together in the government.
The favors of the government towards the company "Kurum" are millions of Euro unpaid fiscal obligations in the state, accepting balance sheets with losses for the company "Kurum Industrial Gases", when in reality it comes out with big profits; PPP this inside the former Metallurgical Plant, given for free in March 2003.
Without submitting balances in taxes since 2015, the Turkish mafiosi of "Kurum" are also doing profitable business in the concession "DURRES LOGISTIC CENTER" on 67.2 hectares of land in Spitalle, given for 35 years for free by Sali Berisha and Ilir Meta in August 2013 when they were together in the government, where the chairman of the board is Taulant Naço of the LSI, now with the SP.

But the "Kurum" company has a "turkey egg", due to the fact that in the years 2019-2021 it received a double VAT refund with the last benefit on September 13, 2023 in the amount of 3.2 million Euros.
Specifically, from the 12.4 million Euros that "Kurum" had to be reimbursed according to the declaration of the volume of sales and purchases inside and outside Albania, it received 25.9 million Euros.
The VAT refund thefts, recently discovered by SPAK, that Ilir Beqja and comedian Ermal Mamaqi also committed, show that the only trick to steal from the state is fake invoices.
