The police and SPAK have files on the entire activity of the chief trafficker Andrea Çaushi, they have even been under surveillance for 3 years and have filed a lot of evidence of crimes against him, and they even have information from the DEA, Anti-Drugs and EUROPOL about the continuation of drug trafficking. , illegal possession of weapons, hiding wanted criminals and money laundering.
But the police don't touch him, because the chief trafficker Andrea Çaushi has ties of interests with leaders of the SP and the government; through their power and guarantee, he entered the tourist business, in state property that he seized and made investments with billions of drugs.
One of these assets occupied by him is the Leather Castle in Saranda with 7 historical buildings and 3250 m2 of state land near this castle, turned into a coastal resort with activity without permission from the Ministry of Economy and Culture and without tax registration.
The State Police has received 3 pieces of information from its agents and many already proven denunciations, according to which, in addition to its function as a rest and entertainment center, it is also a "distributor" of drugs, especially after 10:00 p.m. to groups of young people.
The police know that the chief trafficker Andrea Çaushi took this business from the nephew and son of Vangjel Tavos with two parts of shares on April 24, 2017 and July 12, 2023, in exchange for allegedly 1.4 million Euros of debt that they had and registered it in the his family name, Ditjona Çaushi.
But with Decision No. 501, dated August 24, 2023, the government removed the castle from the private company and transferred it 100% to the administration of the state, which actually owns it; while even today, after 1 year from the government's decision, the Castle of Lëkures has not been removed from the head of the trafficker, Andrea Çaushi.
The police and SPAK have the file dated November 13, 2021, when during a police intervention to close down the activity of bars during the night hours in Saranda where drugs were sold and consumed, the chief trafficker Andrea Çaushi was arrested, who was found with a quantity of cocaine and a pistol ready to shoot, but after 2 weeks they released him with a guarantee of 50 million ALL.
The police and SPAK have the file dated June 6, 2017, when Andrea Çaushi was arrested by order of the former Serious Crimes Prosecutor's Office (today SPAK), during an action with the Italian Prosecutor's Office, for the trafficking of 900 kg. drugs caught in the act in Karaburun, destined for Sicily.
But after 1 month, specifically on July 8, 2017, the Court of Appeal of Serious Crimes released the chief trafficker Andrea Çaushi from prison, although he was proven to be the leader of the 900 kg traffic gang. drugs and had the Italian justice file with other evidence of drug trafficking by him.
Two weeks after being released from prison, the chief trafficker Andrea Caushi became the owner of 50% of the resort at Kalaja e Lëkureš with a value of 750 thousand Euros, while on July 12, 2023 he became a 100% shareholder; but neither Anti-crime, nor SHISH nor SPAK, did not investigate where he found the millions of Euros that he bought and invested in the shares.
The SPAK police are silent in the face of the fact that since August 24, 2023, they have been occupying and using without permission the Castle of Lëkurës in Saranda and the buildings inside it with an area of 3250 m2.
