A serious incident occurred yesterday evening in Kotor, Montenegro. Local media reported that a 33-year-old man was executed by a hail of bullets near the beach of Trsteno. The victim has been identified as Boban Sjekloća and, according to Montenegrin media, he was listed in police records as one of the leaders of the Cetinje branch of the "Škaljar clan".
The police had been looking for him for several years, as he was on the run.
Sjekloća is included in the indictments of the Special State Prosecutor's Office related to cocaine smuggling. He is also accused of aiding and abetting the murder of Andrija Gazivoda and Pero Muhadinović, which was committed in 2020 in Cetinje.
The incident was initially reported as a traffic accident. According to unofficial information, firefighters were the first to arrive to respond to the accident. However, they found the body of a man with gunshot wounds.
The victim was shot in the head. It is suspected that he was killed while driving the car in which he was found.
