Pope Francis has condemned the murder of the presidential candidate of Ecuador, Fernando Villavicencio. Pope Francis also called on all Ecuadorians to work together in favor of peace.

It is noted that Pope Francis, who visited Ecuador in 2015 on one of his first trips, said he was praying for Villavicencio's family and all the people of Ecuador.

We recall that two days ago the presidential candidate of Ecuador, Fernando Villavicencio, was executed in a mafia assassination, after an electoral rally he held with his supporters.

He was the leading candidate to take over the leadership of Ecuador after promising to fight the mafia which has taken control of the state.
