Deadly attacks by Hamas, Zelensky expresses his solidarity for the victims in Israel

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has expressed his "solidarity" for the victims of the surprise attack in Israel, after a phone call with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu this Sunday.

Zelensky added that during the telephone conversation with Netanyahu, they also discussed the effects of this attack in the region and beyond. The Ukrainian president also stated that diplomats were cooperating with the Israeli police to ensure the safety of Ukrainian citizens.

" I spoke with Netanyahu to affirm Ukraine's solidarity with Israel, which is suffering from a brazen, large-scale attack, and to express condolences for the many victims. The Prime Minister briefed me on the current situation and the actions of the Israel Defense Forces and law enforcement to repel the attack. We also discussed the consequences of the attack for the security situation in the region and beyond," he said.
