The Israeli attacks in Rafah cause a food crisis, the World Food Program raises

The World Food Program said no aid has entered Gaza's southern crossings in two days, as fears grow that Israel's moves into Rafah will further stifle efforts to get food into the enclave.

WFP's Palestinian director, Matthew Hollingworth, said thousands of people are on the move and lack food and fuel.

"Our main depot is now unreachable. In 2 days no aid has come in from the southern crossings. Only 1 bakery is still working. Food and fuel supplies to Gaza will only last 1-3 days. Without them, operations ours will stop ," wrote Hollingworth on the "X" platform.

But Israel disputed the warnings on Thursday, insisting that aid had reached Gaza. The Israeli agency that approves the passage of humanitarian aid into Gaza - COGAT - said earlier that after being closed for several days, the Kerem Shalom crossing was open, as was the Erez crossing to the north.

Later on Thursday, the Israel Defense Forces confirmed that dozens of trucks with humanitarian aid entered Gaza through the Kerem Shalom crossing today.

"Israel keeps this crossing open despite Hamas' continued rocket fire into the area. The IDF makes every effort to provide a continuous flow of aid to civilians as Hamas repeatedly fires at Kerem Shalom ," the IDF said. in X.
