The US is the largest arms supplier to Israel, helping it build one of the most sophisticated armies in the world.
According to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, the US accounted for 69% of Israel's imports of major conventional weapons from 2019 to 2023.
Israel also receives $3.8 billion in annual military aid from the U.S. under a 10-year agreement aimed at gaining qualitative military advantage over neighboring countries.
Biden has said that the US will continue to give Israel the weapons it needs to defend itself, including the "Iron Cup" air defense system.
