Israel accuses Hamas of using hospitals as military bases.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have accused Hamas of "systematic exploitation of hospitals" as part of the war machine, the bbc reports.
Israel has been criticized by the United Nations and its agencies, including the World Health Organization, for alleged attacks on or near Gaza's medical infrastructure.

In response, IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari gave a briefing this afternoon, insisting that Israel was striking "based on intelligence" and within international law, adding that "we do not want to hit hospitals and ambulances."
Hagar also shared declassified information detailing what he said were Hamas strongholds under, in and around three hospitals in Gaza. The BBC cannot verify Hagar's claims.
Hagari said Al-Shifa hospital - the largest in Gaza City - is located on top of a Hamas command and control center.
