Former US President Donald Trump has hinted that he may choose a woman as the second most important person in the US presidential election campaign if he is chosen as the Republican candidate for the 2024 elections.
" I like the concept, but we will choose the best man. But, yes, I like the concept ," Trump said, praising South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem.
She joined a Republican campaign fundraiser last week, where some attendees held Trump-Noem signs, Bloomberg reports.
" She would certainly be one of the people I would consider ," Trump said of Noem, whom he previously called "fantastic" and a "great governor."
The second most important person in the campaign is the closest associate of the party's candidate in the election race for president, and the closest associate remains even after the election, in case the candidate is elected.
