US Vice President Kamala Harris has not yet officially accepted the victory of her Republican rival Donald Trump.
Trump announced his victory early at 2:30 am (00:30 Albanian time), three hours before securing the necessary 270 electoral votes.
But we have yet to hear anything official from the Harris camp.
Last night, her team told people who had gathered to celebrate in Washington DC to go home, adding that she would not be appearing to speak to them.
Harris plans to speak today, though we haven't had further details on exactly when.
Today's result marks a deep defeat for Harris and the Democratic Party, who have also lost control of the Senate and could still lose the House.
