
The emissary of the European Union for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, has met with the leader of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, who has been sanctioned by the United States of America and Great Britain.
Lajcak and Dodik met during the work of the Diplomatic Forum in Antalya, Turkey.
"I am glad that I had the opportunity to meet all three members of the Presidency of Bosnia, as well as Mr. Dodik in Antalya. I underlined the crucial importance of carrying out the necessary reforms for the EU to move forward on its European path in March. This is of vital interest for the whole country", wrote Lajçak in his reaction.
Lajcak also met with the other two members of the Presidency of Bosnia, with whom he discussed the necessary reforms for EU integration.
Dodik, also known as a pro-Russian leader, has been sanctioned by the US on January 5, 2022. The US has accused him of violating, obstructing or threatening to not implement the Dayton Agreement, but also under accusations of being involved in corrupt activities. Dodik has also been sanctioned by Great Britain.
