The Iranian state news agency Fars reports that the Islamic Republic of Iran is considering the possibility of attacking the assets of American businessman Elon Musk in the Middle East region, considering them as "legitimate targets."
According to military sources cited by Fars, Iran accuses US and Israeli forces of using Musk's SpaceX company's Starlink satellite internet services for military operations in the area.
As a result, Starlink ground stations located in Qatar, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, and Oman, along with SpaceX shareholders, have been added to the list of potential targets.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran reserves the right to attack all facilities related to properties managed by Musk in the region and in the occupied territories," a military source told the Fars agency.
Starlink, SpaceX's satellite-based internet service, has long been criticized by Tehran, which accuses it of enabling enemy forces to communicate. While there has been no official confirmation from the Iranian government of concrete plans for action, the statement published by state media is seen as a direct threat to Musk's commercial interests in the region.
