Guests have begun arriving at the U.S. Capitol for the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump, which was moved indoors due to frigid temperatures in Washington.
Among the guests who have arrived at the Capitol are former President Bill Clinton and former First Lady Hillary Clinton; Elon Musk, a close Trump ally who will head the new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE); Apple CEO Tim Cook; Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and podcast host Joe Rogan.
Several of Trump's cabinet picks were also seen arriving, including Doug Burgum - the president-elect's pick to lead the Interior Department - and Marco Rubio, who could be the next secretary of state.
Former Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell was also seen near the Capitol Rotunda, along with his wife Elaine Chao, who served as transportation secretary during Trump's first administration.
Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman was also seen entering the Capitol in a sweatshirt, shorts and sneakers. Fetterman was the first Democratic senator to meet with Trump after his election.
About 800 people are expected to be in the Capitol Rotunda for Donald Trump's inauguration, with another 1,300 in Emancipation Hall and another 500 in the theater in the Capitol Visitors Center, according to the Congressional Joint Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies. That's about 2,600 people expected to be in the Capitol building for the inauguration.
