A large fire broke out in the early hours of the morning at the well-known "Violanta" biscuit factory in Trikala, Greece.
According to information, the explosion occurred around 4 am and there were 11 people inside the factory.
According to Greek media, three women have lost their lives and 2 others are missing, while the remaining 6 were taken to hospital for first aid, including a firefighter.
"So far, three deaths have been confirmed, there are two others who are missing. The situation is tragic and difficult," said the president of the Trikala workers' center.

According to residents' testimonies, the explosion was so powerful that it was heard in the city and at a very long distance in the villages where windows were broken.
Part of the business has collapsed due to the explosion and fire. 40 firefighters with 15 vehicles are at the scene.
