Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said at a press conference in Washington that Harris is capable of leading the country.
She said the US "continues to be blessed" with the leadership of Joe Biden. Referring to Biden's speech yesterday, she added that he passed the torch with eloquence and vision.
"She is a person of deep faith and commitment to public service in the most selfless way. Make no mistake, she is a politically savvy president ," Pelosi said.
Pelosi added that Harris is officially, personally and politically capable of leading the country in November.
