A large number of students, who have been protesting for nearly four months demanding responsibility for the victims of the tent collapse in Novi Sad, as well as citizens, have gathered in the center of Belgrade.
More than 107,000 people are participating in the rally, according to an estimate by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, although organizers believe the number is even higher.

The protest “15 on 15 – We are waiting for you” officially started at 4:00 PM. Students gave speeches on Slavija Square and the central streets up to the Serbian Parliament building were filled with protesters, while a large number of people arrived later from the direction of New Belgrade.
It can now be said that these are one of the largest, if not the largest, anti-government demonstrations in recent decades, writes Reuters.

The collapse of a tent in Novi Sad in early November last year sparked massive protests in Serbia and is the biggest test yet for the government led by the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) and Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.
However, the day before the protest he said that he "is not afraid of anything" and that he will not allow the streets to change the government.

"There will be no transitional government as long as I am alive," he said, adding that "I do not agree with blackmail and pressure, I am the president of Serbia and I will not allow the street to determine the rules in this country."
