Elon Musk has clashed with Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, who "dared" to comment on the cost of Starlink in Ukraine, the American billionaire's company for which Poland is paying the cost.
The feud between them began after a post by Musk, who wrote that Ukrainians would not be able to fight against Russia without Starlinks. This post brought a reaction from the Polish minister, who pointed out that Poland pays $50 million a year for Starlink service in Ukraine.
"Starlinks for Ukraine are paid for by the Polish Ministry of Digitalization at a cost of about $50 million per year. Regardless of whether it is ethical to threaten the victim of aggression, if Space X turns out to be an unreliable provider, we will be forced to look for other providers," the minister wrote.
Musk responded sharply by saying: "Shut up, little man. You pay a very small fraction of the cost. And there is no substitute for Starlink."
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio also intervened, criticizing the Polish minister and asking him to say thank you.
"No one threatened to cut off Ukraine's access to Starlink. And say thank you because without Starlink Ukraine would have lost the war long ago and the Russians would now be on the border of Poland ," Rubio wrote.
