Serbia, Parliament elects new government; here is who the Prime Minister is

Gjuro Macut's government was voted in by the majority of deputies. The session began at 10:00 and continued until the vote on the new government cabinet that will be led by Gjuro Macut.

153 MPs voted for the election of the new government, while 46 voted against the proposal. 51 MPs were not present.

Serbia's economic policy will not change. At least that's what Macut warned, justifying his program before the deputies of the Parliament.

He said that "the policy of maintaining macroeconomic stability that we have had so far will continue."

Serbia's new government will consist of 30 ministers, most of whom were also in the cabinet of Prime Minister Miloš Vučević, who resigned.

Among the new names in the Government are Dejan Vuk Stankovic as Minister of Education, Nenad Vujic as Minister of Justice and Dragan Glamocic as Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, Boris Bratina as Minister of Information and Telecommunications and Demo Berisha as Minister for Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue.

The most frequent discussions were about the candidate for Minister of Education, Dejan Vuk Stankovic, and the accusations of sexual harassment against students at the Faculty of Education.
