Several people have been injured as a result of many tornadoes that have hit the central part of the United States of America.
Hundreds of homes and buildings were damaged by the tornadoes.
More than 70 tornadoes were recorded across the country by the US National Weather Service, most of them around Omaha, Nebraska.
As of Friday night, several injuries were reported, but thankfully not fatal.
" Three people were injured in Lancaster County, Nebraska, when a tornado struck an industrial building, knocking off its roof while 70 people were inside. Some of them were trapped, but all were eventually evacuated and the injured are out of danger to life ," authorities said.
" Emergency crews are checking damaged homes and assisting with injured citizens ," Omaha Police said.
About 11,000 homes were without power in Nebraska, according to authorities.
The National Weather Service issued multiple tornado warnings for several US states on Friday, warning them that strong storms would continue into Saturday. /REL
