A targeted operation by the US military against a suspicious vessel in the Eastern Pacific resulted in two deaths and one survivor, who was rescued after a search and rescue operation.
The US military announced in the early hours of Tuesday that two people were killed and one survived after an attack on a suspected drug trafficking vessel in the Eastern Pacific.
According to a statement released to “X” by the US Southern Command, the attack was carried out on February 9, at the direction of its commander, General Francis Donovan, as part of Joint Task Force Southern Spear. As reported, intelligence agencies confirmed that the ship was moving along known drug trafficking routes in the Eastern Pacific and was actively participating in drug smuggling operations run by organizations that have been designated as terrorists.
During the operation, two of the crew were killed, while one survived.
