The Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, condemned the ceasefire agreement with Hamas, saying that the pause during the war constitutes a "dangerous precedent".
He said that while there is an "advantage" to the agreement on the return of the prisoners, Israel has no right and authority to agree to the idea of dividing them and releasing only one part.
The minister criticized the agreement for not ensuring the release of all women and children trapped in Gaza, calling it immoral, illogical, not sufficient at all. Ben-Gvir was among the Israeli ministers who voted against the ceasefire agreement.
" Hamas wanted this 'time-out' more than anything. The frame is a dangerous precedent, which changes the equation and can lead to more events. This decision will cause us great harm for generations. Hamas wanted this ceasefire more than anything. They wanted to get, in return, fuel, the release of terrorists, a halt to IDF actions and so on ," he said.
