Moscow has denied allegations that it is behind a fake US election video, after US intelligence accused Russia of being behind one such video, which shows a Haitian immigrant saying he has voted several times.
Three US intelligence agencies said on Friday that "Russian influence actors" created the video as part of Moscow's "broad effort to raise questions about the integrity of the US election".
In the statement of these agencies, it is said that the Russian actors are behind the fake video.
"We have noticed the statement of the American intelligence services, accusing our country of creating fabricated videos about election violations in the United States. We see these accusations as unfounded," the Russian Embassy in the United States said in a Telegram post.
In the 20-second video, a man can be seen with a robotic voice saying that “we are from Haiti. We came to America six months ago, we already have American citizenship and we are voting for Kamala Harris".
Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, the top official in this swing state for electoral preference, said yesterday that this video is an example of "targeted disinformation."
Raffensperger said that this "clearly fake" video was most likely produced by the "Russian fake news factory".
The Russian embassy said that Russia has not provided any evidence to support the claims of American officials.
The presidential election in the United States will be held on November 5. The American vice president, Kamala Harris, is the Democratic candidate for president, while the former American president, Donald Trump, is the Republican candidate.
The race between them is said to be close.
