Von der Leyen: Russia is an existential threat not only to Ukraine, but also to Europe

The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen speaking at the manifestation of the 20th anniversary of the enlargement of 2004 in the European Parliament in Strasbourg has stated that Russia is an existential threat not only for Ukraine, but also for Europe.

"A Putin victory would not only change the map, not only cover the face of the Ukrainian nation, but change the course of European history. Our union would never be the same," he emphasized.

The President of the Commission said that the military aid from the United States and the European Union encourages them to do even more.

"And we have to be very clear about that. Because for Europe to win the future, as it did 20 years ago, Ukraine has to win," she added.
