From Beijing, where he participated in the military parade for the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has ironically mocked the Bled Strategic Summit in Slovenia, where Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama was also present.
At the summit, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic declared that Serbia was heading towards civil war, but Vučić reacted by accusing him of damaging Belgrade's image. The Serbian head of state went further by insulting the summit and its participants, comparing it to the meetings he held in Beijing with Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping and Robert Fico.
"I didn't go to Bled. Macut was invited, wisely and rightly he didn't go. They invited the blockers to Bled, let them talk to them. Compare the relationship and conversation with Plenkovic and I don't know who else with the meetings with Xi, Putin, Fico... It's like comparing the Premier League and the Belgrade league," Vučić said ironically.
The Serbian president further added that if Putin said something negative, it would be the main news in Europe, while he was not concerned with "nonsense", but only with Serbia's interests.
