Serbian lawyer Cedomir Stoikojic has spoken about the complicated situation in Serbia where protests are continuing by students and citizens in front of the government building for their movement.
Stoikojic explained the importance of these protests, unlike other times, as their weight could lead to a possible overthrow of President Vučić.
This, according to the lawyer, could happen in the fall as the intensity of the protests is now decreasing. He emphasizes that the peak of major protests is in early fall.
"Since the beginning of the multi-party system in Serbia, we have a situation where when summer approaches, the strength of the protests decreases. Now the protests in Belgrade have decreased and people are not very involved in politics. When it comes to the student protest, it had a very good moment and I think that at the end of the summer and the beginning of the autumn it will reach its peak. I think that is when we will have the biggest protests."
The President has not met any of the students' demands because it is known that one of the main demands is to have a normal system without corruption. The basis of the protest is government corruption and the government has not met this.
"Vučić is trying to reduce the weight of the protests because he knows that these manifestations have the capacity to overthrow him. In my judgment, this will happen in the fall," Stoikojović told Euronews Albania.
