The Italian media continues to be scandalized by the suspicious movements of fish oligarch Gjergj Luca. The latter opened the 'Trattoria Meloni' restaurant in Shengjin, but for Italians it is a misuse of the image of the prime minister by an individual accused of drug trafficking, theft and misappropriation of funds. The magazine ' Mow ' made another article today, where it conducted an interview with the opposition MP Riccardo Magi, who was also scandalized. He asks the question: Is Giorgia happy that her name is used like this?

The case of the restaurant dedicated to Giorgia Meloni in Albania, by an entrepreneur accused of drug trafficking, embezzlement of European funds and theft, does not seem to interest the Italian media, which has not investigated what could be hidden behind this story. But 'Mow' doesn't give up, so we spoke to Riccardo Magi, +Europa MP, who has shown more interest in the Albanian hotspot.
He explained to us that something like this had not been seen since World War II, that a lot of money will be wasted, and told us what he thinks about the video that was broadcast on Tg4 and the news partially reported by many others...
Journalist: Magi, what do you think about the way the Italian press has treated the issue of Trattoria Meloni in Albania?
MP: It is certainly curious that no one has verified the news of the local press before or after the broadcast of the service on Trattoria. And that none of the major newspapers have repeated your articles. Honestly, I was surprised by the way the Italian media has handled this case.
Reporter: Shouldn't Meloni distance himself from all this?
MP: Yes, the question I asked myself when I read your article was: Is Meloni happy that her name is being used like this? I don't mean it in a polemical sense, but in general. She should be more careful about who uses her name and image, because if all of this is true, it's not a good advertisement for her.
Journalist: In light of the accusations and the lack of answers, are there grounds for a parliamentary interpellation?
Deputeti: Për momentin do të thosha jo, gjithashtu sepse bëhet fjalë për akuza që do të duhej të regjistroheshin në një procedurë ligjore. Gjëja më e rëndë, sipas mendimit tim, mbetet kryesisht marrëveshja në vetvete, sepse krijon një precedent, dhe vende të tjera evropiane mund të kenë interes të ndjekin këtë model. Kjo tregon një krizë të rëndë të shtetit të së drejtës në Bashkimin Evropian, i cili po lëshon terren në shumë çështje, siç është ndalimi i migrantëve, procedurat e përshpejtuara dhe heqja dorë nga ndryshimi i marrëveshjes së Dublinit.
Gazetari: Ju keni qenë atje, kështu që e keni parë mirë situatën. Çfarë është ndërtuar deri më tani?
Deputeti: Kur isha unë atje, në fillim të qershorit, ende nuk ishte realizuar qendra e pritjes së parë pranë portit. Ishte fjala për kontejnerë të vendosur pranë njëri-tjetrit, të rrethuar me gardhe të larta prej metali, të ngjashme me ato që njohim në CPR-të italiane. Në qendër ishte një hapësirë e ngjashme me një oborr të brendshëm, i krijuar midis kontejnerëve, ku ishte vendosur një tendë për konferencën për shtyp me Meloni dhe Ramën. Kjo hapësirë qartësisht nuk mund të përdoret si qendër pritjeje, pasi ndodhet në skelën brenda zonës portuale. Gjithsesi, lindin menjëherë dyshime për përputhshmërinë e këtyre strukturave me të drejtën evropiane dhe gjithashtu me atë kombëtare.
Gazetari: Pse e bëjnë?
Deputeti: Për propagandë. Mesazhi që qeveria Meloni u dërgon italianëve është se Europa na lidh duart, por ne gjithsesi do t’i mbajmë larg migrantët. Është një simbol politik: t'u tregojmë italianëve që 'ne i largojmë nga sytë tuaj, i mbajmë larg'. Në realitet do të jetë një numër i papërfillshëm në krahasim me flukset e përgjithshme. Pastaj ka edhe iluzionin se mund të shërbejë si një mjet parandalues, sikur ata që nisen nga Libia apo Tunizia, pas viteve të burgimit dhe torturave, do të vendosin të mos nisen më sepse rrezikojnë të përfundojnë në Shqipëri. Nuk kuptojnë arsyet që shtyjnë njerëzit të përpiqen të arrijnë në Evropë.
Gazetari: Kështu i kënaq elektoratin?
Deputeti: Meloni kishte premtuar bllokada detare dhe masa të tjera të parealizueshme dhe është dashur të kënaqet me këtë zgjidhje qesharake. Është një iniciativë që dështoi nga çdo anë, qoftë për shkeljet e së drejtës, qoftë për shpërdorimin e burimeve: bëhet fjalë për të paktën një miliard euro. Ajo përmendi 750 milionë në katër ose pesë vitet e ardhshme, por janë shifra të nënvlerësuara. Vetëm për personelin, mes policëve dhe nëpunësve të prefekturave, parashikohen shpenzime të mëdha.
Gazetari: Për anijen është vendosur një kufi prej 13.5 milionë.
MP: Yes, exactly. Then there is the risk that this structure will never open, or that if it does, it will have so many technical-logistical problems that it will become unusable. Moreover, there are many procedures that need to be performed there. I have prepared a minor report on the DDL conversion, trying to understand how many functions will need to be fulfilled. Many people will have to be turned back, and it is not clear where the screening will be done to distinguish who cannot be moved there, such as minors, families, vulnerable people or those who have suffered violence. These are not things that can be understood during a night rescue.
Journalist: So some are kept there and others are sent back to Italy?
Deputy: Correct. One thing that the government has never clarified during the discussion in the hall. If the asylum applications are accepted or rejected, however, many of these people will have to return to Italy, either to proceed with deportation or because, after 18 months, the maximum period of administrative detention in the CPR ends, and they will anyway to be sent back to Italy.
Currently, it seems that everyone benefits somewhat, both from the Albanian side and from the Italian side.
Meanwhile, as I said before, even those who will prove vulnerable in a second moment, will have to return to Italy.
Reporter: So there will be a lot of wasted travel.
Deputy: Correct. In addition, there will certainly be cases where bans will not be upheld, because this is all based on a principle that contradicts European law: the collective ban. In European law, the ban is only provided for special cases with specific reasons and cannot be applied to all survivors of a rescue. If the judges do not confirm the bans, these people will also have to return to Italy.
Journalist: So we risk bringing them back to Italy. The mechanism is that the ship rescues the migrants and takes them directly to Albania, right?
MP: No, in theory vulnerable people should not go there. But it is still not clear where the scan will take place.
Reporter: Maybe they want to do it on board?
MP: But to do this, you need doctors, mediators, translators, psychologists. Because it must be understood, for example, that most of the women who come from Libya have suffered sexual violence. But even for young people, their real age should be determined, whether they are minors or not.
