Salary from 400 thousand euros to 1 million euros...
After almost 20 years, the Albanian state finally remembered the gigantic theft of Bankers Petroleum. Since 2004, this company has only declared losses and has not paid any taxes to the state. But the handicap lies in the fact that the heads of this company have had crazy salaries.
According to the list provided by "Pamfleti", this company has changed 23 directors in 20 years. So almost every year someone else was put in charge and whoever came gave themselves the salary they wanted. Regarding the figures, they are frightening, while they have changed from year to year.
For example, according to 2014 data, Bankers had the highest salary fund in the country at the time, with a figure of 3.8 billion lek per year, including bonuses. The average salary per employee was about 557 thousand lek (4000) euros per month. However, this average is significantly increased by the high salaries of foreigners.
According to the balance sheet data, out of about 3.8 billion lek, which is the total of salaries declared and paid for 2014, almost 2.9 billion lek, or about 76% of the fund, went to foreign personnel and about 930 million lek to local personnel. For Albanian personnel, the average salary is about 1200 euros per month, while for foreign personnel it reaches 35 thousand euros per month on average, or over 400 thousand euros per year. But the heads of Bankers Petroleum have had salaries of up to 1 million dollars per year (80 thousand USD/month, or 10 million lek/month).
At that time, it was reported that 70 people had salaries over 10 million (old) lek per month. Of these 70 people, only 2 were Albanian. Meanwhile, 20 other company executives had salaries over 50 million lek (old) lek per month. While 3 senior company executives had stratospheric salaries at the incredible figure of 100 million lek per month.
According to tax statistics, in Albania only about 100 people in total have salaries over 10 million lekë per month. Of these people, over 70 belong to the Bankers company!
This trend was confirmed by the salary database leak in 2021, where the same figures were found. Bankers' leaders were among the highest paid. According to sources, in recent years the figures have increased even more since the penultimate director had a salary of 1 million euros. So, it seems clear that this company has been a hotbed of abuse and profiteering. / Pamphlet
