The Prime Minister of the country was eager to approve the reform in Justice, but his enthusiasm faded quickly and even today he has started the battle openly against SPAKU.
Rama supported the reform in Justice in function of his political career.
The reform was demanded by the partners and he had enough sense not to commit harakiri. He obviously tried to control it and somehow succeeded.
Apparently, the election of Duman as chief prosecutor of the Special Prosecution has ruined the scenario for the continuation of his career, so his battle with SPAK is now frontal.
-The first signs were seen when Lulëzim Basha "fired" Sali Berisha, paving the way for the new Justice. This is where the prime minister's support for Sali Berisha began. He managed to delegitimize Basha as party leader by warning him from the parliament floor: "Go away, Lul Go away because you are not the leader of the Democratic Party" - the others will come.
The retaking of the head of the DP and PL from Berisha e Meta is definitely an open pressure for SPAK. Meta even declared in front of the media that "we will melt you when we come to power"
The second signal against SPAK was the appointment of Ilir Beqaj as foreign aid coordinator (KKIPA), while he was being prosecuted. This was a clear signal that SPAK should not touch its associates.
Then Rama declared in front of the media that "I am against the republic of prosecutors". It is openly and clearly against the new Justice.
The parliamentary committee chaired by Fatmir Xhafaj is nothing but a mechanism to limit the activity of SPAK and this fact has been analyzed and fully accepted.
Rama's latest blow was the criticism of SPAK for leaking information. Understandably, Edi Rama is not worried about not jeopardizing the progress of the investigations but to protect his black team from justice.
