Farewell! The world is wilder today without you!
Pope Francis /

The passing of Pope Francis marks the loss of a rare symbol of kindness and humanity. In a world dominated by indifference and arrogance, his legacy remains a powerful reminder that empathy and love are the virtues that should guide humanity...

I have never been a true believer. In fact, I have often felt skeptical of religious institutions and the way they represent faith. However, for me, humility before God remains an act of humility towards the goodness, modesty, and prosperity of humanity.

I say this to better understand why Pope Francis was so important even to someone like me. In fact, he was for me the living embodiment of goodness, a figure who makes me agree with Voltaire when he said: "Even if God did not exist, he would have to be invented."

Francis was not just a traditional Pope; he was a reformer, a spiritual leader who challenged the church and the world on behalf of the poorest, the weakest, and the forgotten of society. He was a Pope who took the message of the Gospel Beatitudes as a basis, making them the moral compass of his own journey and that of all humanity.

At a time when world leaders remain indifferent to horrific tragedies like those in Gaza, Pope Francis raised his voice, louder and clearer than anyone else. In the silence of Arab leaders and the indifference of many other leaders, his voice was a human cry, full of compassion and courage.

"Pride is the greatest sin," Pope Francis often repeated, calling for a fundamental change in the Catholic Church's often demagogic approach to moral and human issues. He was a vivid challenge to arrogance and indifference, reminding us that kindness and compassion should be our true compass.

With his departure from this world, I have a fear: that Francis may be the last model of his kind, in an increasingly cruel and vengeful world. Perhaps now, more than ever, we need figures like him to remind us that humanity, empathy, and love are not weaknesses, but the greatest strength that humanity can have.

Pope Francis is gone, but he left behind a legacy that we must keep alive in a world that seems to have forgotten kindness.
With his departure, we lose one of the most courageous and inspiring figures of our time.

But the question arises: will the Catholic Church be able to follow this reform path, or will it return to its traditional practices, far from the real challenges of our time?

The legacy of Pope Francis is challenging and perhaps unrepeatable. We hope that this legacy will not only be a beautiful memory, but a model that will encourage real reforms and a more humane and open approach to the challenges we face./ Pamphlet
