The abstentions of Pandeli Majko and Fatmir Xhafajt regarding the cannabis law in the Law Commission have simply cut the ribbon of the great war that has started within the Socialist Party.
Edi Rama is no longer in control of the situation, and according to the odds, he lost the numbers definitively. The chances are that the defeat of the initiative for the legalization of cannabis in the plenary session will also mark the official beginning of the war, which will now take place hotly and with daily battles.
A large group of deputies did not give 'OK!' Rama for Taulant Balla, Minister of the Interior, as they did not support the appointment of puppets at the head of the parliamentary group of the SP.
The verbal clash between Xhafaj and Braçe had nothing to do with anything other than the task that the former Minister of the Interior seems to have taken as the head of a strong current within the Socialist Party. Korent, which, as we know, has a significant number of parliamentarians who represent the traditional SP and have presented a set of clear and non-negotiable demands for Edi Rama.
This group, which will also be formalized in the form of a political memorandum, is expected to demand the revival of all SP forums from the center to the grassroots, and to be the decision-makers for elections, policies and appointments that are made in local directorates, as well as in the central ones.
Some time ago, in a television interview, Fatmir Xhafaj declared that he will not accept a 'make-up' in the government, but a complete political change of the governing team. A phrase that seems to have been said when the appointment of Taulant Balla was being prepared, as a political cosmetic of Edi Rama's technical cabinet, where all the others are simply matryoshkas that do not move without the hand of the father.
And this reinforces the fact that even when President Bajram Begaj's decree for Taulant Balla is voted, it is likely that there will be a clear position against it. And precisely for this reason, the meeting of the parliamentary group of the SP has failed for days.
The senators did not agree to hold the meeting without the presence of Edi Rama, who disappeared without a trace, precisely to avoid his deputies, but also the public.
