There is no longer any doubt that the agreement between Edi Rama and Giorgia Meloni is a colossal failure. From the way it started, it seemed like it would be something difficult. Our Prime Minister went to Italy and announced the agreement, without any kind of consultation with the citizens. But since November 2023, this agreement has not been implemented and probably will not be implemented.
5 days ago Meloni tried to bring immigrants to Gjadra for the third time, but justice dealt him another blow and they were returned to Italy. The appeal considered their shelter in Albania as unfair. The final word will be given by the European Court, which will decide within February.
For more than a year and a half, the Italian media has been making accusations about this deal, which has cost millions of euros and turned Gjadri into a center where dogs are sheltered.
But for one thing, Giorgia Mleoni should be happy, at least her image has helped Gjergj Luca make some more money. The fish oligarch, as soon as the pact was signed, started the licking maneuvers and opened "Tratoria Melonin", a fish restaurant in Lezha.
Many Italian media have made fun of her, as portraits of the prime minister are placed everywhere. The media themselves have shown that Luca, accused of trafficking and many other things, misuses the image of the prime minister. But the latter does not seem to mind, as it seems that only Gjergj Luca's paintings are left.
Gjadri, at least until now, has ended up in a ruin, where some Italian policemen take money from the street. Meloni's only pride is Gjergj Lucës' Tratoria. But even the latter is worried that its business may not be doing so well if the European Court declares the agreement illegal. This is because if such a thing happens, Gjadri will definitely close.
It's no wonder Rama and his friend are inventing something else, but our prime minister now has bigger problems.
