It is not a matter of emotions. But, it is certain that in these historical moments, Serbia needs more than Kosovo the support of the USA, to face medieval Serbia and the cold eastern embrace...
Serbia is part of a much bigger problem than Kosovo and that this support for Serbia has nothing to do with Kosovo.
By supporting Serbia to become European and Western, Kosovo and the region are also protected, which with the democratization and Western and European orientation of Serbia will finally be freed from its medieval ambitions for domination and will build bridges of cooperation with its neighbors, thus following Euro-Atlantic spirit and interest.
Even within the Kosovo-Serbia-EU triangle, Serbia above all needs the support of the US and the EU so that it understands and accepts as its own interest the framework of the European plan for the normalization of relations with independent and democratic Kosovo.
Currently in Serbia the Eastern spirit and interest dominates, while the USA is trying to keep it part of Europe and the region.
"This is not possible" will cry the extremes, who want the USA and NATO to be put at the service of local, national policies, and to deviate, thus activating all the internal contradictions and thus ruining the global coalition. This is an unreasonable expectation, and the countries of the Western Balkans must calibrate themselves with the gigantic dimensions of this global conflict, which is not only taking place for Ukraine, although the guns are only cracking there, for now.
But even among us, extreme circles cry that the USA betrayed Kosovo. It is shameful to say that the USA and the EU betrayed Kosovo. The opposition and some media mercenaries, on the other hand, are shouting that the official Kosovo betrayed the USA and they see the rapprochement of the main ally with Serbia as a cataclysm.
However, both sides forget that just a few days ago the boys (soldiers) of Europe and the USA fought to protect the Kosovo flag in institutions in the north and to protect the elected mayors of the municipalities, in a legal process but boycotted by the majority community in those municipalities. They accepted the election results even though they were aware that this is only a formal democracy.
It is stupid to say that the USA will not support Kosovo because it is now supporting Serbia!
The USA rightly supports Serbia in these historic moments, because European Serbia needs help in the face of medieval Serbia and Russia. Without Western support, Serbia cannot cope with its medieval calling, which is guided by Serbian clerical-nationalism and the influences of Eastern interests and structures.
There is no damage to Kosovo from European Serbia. The fear that someone will sell Kosovo is the rhetoric of provincial cafes and bazaars. The support that the USA is giving to Serbia does not call into question its support and in general the Western support for Kosovo. It is clear that the two countries, Kosovo and Serbia, need to overcome mutual hostility and fear, and to influence this process, trust and good relations with the two sides are needed. The planet's only superpower can afford it.
Janë spekulime të ulëta, se SHBA është zemëruar nga Kosova zyrtare dhe se tash për dënim e përkrahë Serbinë. Përkundrazi, SHBA ndihen krenare që Kosova nuk është më aq e pafuqishme sa ta mbaj për krahësh, por është e përgjegjshme për të mos lejuar që Kosova të futet në një konflikt për të cilin ende nuk është e përgatitur! Konflikti në Ballkan nuk është në interes të SHBA as të perëndimit. Ushtrimet ushtarake “Mbrojtja e Evropës 2023” nuk u mbajtën rastësisht në Ballkanin Perëndimor dhe nuk synojnë të mbrojnë vetëm Kosovën. Nuk duhet shqetësuar për largimin e Ushtrisë së Kosovës nga "Mbrojtja e Evropës 23", sepse Ushtria e Kosovës tashmë është pjesë e NATO-s dhe do të fuqizohet e do të përfshihet ose jo në ushtrime apo angazhime luftarake sipas standardeve dhe vlerësimeve të Aleancës Euro-Atlantike.
Por, ka edhe diçka që duhet nxjerrë si mësim. Kosova u largua nga ushtrimet ushtarake sepse për një moment, në vlug të krizës, harroi se ato ushtrime po mbahen për Mbrojtjen e Evropës dhe jo vetëm për mbrojtjen e Kosovës. Mbrojtja e Kosovës është projekt tjetër i filluar zyrtarisht më 1999 dhe do të vazhdojë derisa Kosova të jetë rrethuar me miq dhe të jetë shndërruar në një hallkë të sigurte në zinxhirin e sigurisë kolektive perëndimore.
NATO's reaction to the military encirclement of Kosovo and the violence of extremists in the north, was not the suspension of the exercises nor the regrouping of the forces engaged in the "Defense of Europe 2023" exercises. In order to protect Kosovo, 700 NATO soldiers were brought to Kosovo and more will be brought if the need requires it. This was a clear message that Kosovo is not a ticking bomb that Serbia or anyone else can detonate whenever they want./ Pamphlet
